How do I show calendar date in my Windows task bar?

When I had Windows 98 I was able to access a calendar from my task bar next
to the time, using "Date Manager." I would like to have the same type of
access using Windows XP. Your help or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Your question is more appropriate for a Windows XP newsgroup.
Try:
Right click on the Taskbar and clear "Lock the Taskbar",
Use your mouse to increase the height of the Taskbar,
Right click on the Taskbar and check "Lock the Taskbar".
