How do I show or hide formatting marks in an outlook message?

My boss accidentally hit something that started showing formatting marks when
he types an email message in Outlook. Now we can figure out how to turn it
off. I know how to do it in Word, but not in Outlook. If you know, please

It's the same -- your boss is using WordMail as the email editor.
