How do I show the day and date in excel in the same cell

I need to show the day and the date in the same cell

tue 27/02/06
wed 28/02/06

can anyone help please

Assuming your ariginal date is in cell A1, paste this in cell A3 and
copy down as far as needed.

=TEXT($A$1+ROW()-2,"ddd, m/d/yyyy")

assuming you have dates in the cells just use

Cell >Format >Number > custom and type this in the box

ddd dd/mm/yy
