How do I stop a BIG message from sending?

I stupidly sent a message with a huge attachment. Now I cannot get it to
stop sending. If I select cancel (which I can only select "cancel all"),
then the next time I open Outlook it tries to send it again.
How can I get it to stop?

What happens if you put Outlook into Offline mode and then delete the
big item sitting in your Outbox?
