How do I stop background photo from repeating

i'm using Frontpage to creat a website and I created a background using
photoshop. I want to use the image I created the only problem is that it
repeats each time I choose it as the background. If I use it as an image I
can't fiuge out how to flatten the image so that I can type over it... sorry
I'm new to this can someone help?

Hi Trevor,

I have one more question with regard to the background image. When I upload
it and then press "preview" I see the image but when I press "design" I
don't. I can't understand why. Is there a way to go around this?
