How do I stop getting emails and reset as I keep getting errors

I keep downloading my emails for outlook.

But keep getting an error message. It then closes it down and I have to get
back into it. It has 39 emails to download and only gets to number 3.

How to I delete all those emails coming through -- and start from scratch.
Ie. no emails coming in.

Have you run an Outlook repair?
Ran scanpst.exe the repair tool on your data file?
Accessed your mail using web access and deleted msgs there?

Where this happening to me, I'd log into my mailbox via the web and examine
the the message that Outlook can't download to see if there were something
odd about it.
