How do I stop my cursor from skipping around while I am typing?

When I try to type in Word 2003, my cursor jumps to other spots on the
document,. Can anybody tell me how to fix this? Thanks and God Bless!

Are you the person who wrote in another message that you're using a
touchpad? Most likely, it's because you're hitting the touchpad...
