How do I stop or abort leveling?

I have a 80,000 manhour MS Project 2007 file that takes 30+ minutes to level.
Is it possible to abort levelling once it begins processing without simply
ending the application with the Task Manager? I tried CTRL+Break and ESC,
but it continues to process.

I don't believe so. If this is a problem, then I suggest that you level
over specified date intervals. Having got satisfactory results, then
you can lock that interval by setting the priority to 1000 and level
over the subsequent interval.
