How do I stop receiving background pics as attachments in Outlook.

One of my clients receives emails with the stationary or background as
attachments. He is set up to receive emails in HTML format and I was
wondering if there is anything else I should try. I have searched Outlooks
site but can't find the answer to this particular problem.

We are running WINXP with SP2 and Office XP.

I would really appreciate any help you can give me.

Thank you very much for responding so quickly. I checked the registry and
there was no addition of the DWORD value mentioned in the article. I forgot
to say that this is a brand new computer that I formatted and installed
everything onto, so there wouldn't have been anything added by others.

I would appreciate any other ideas.

okay let me try to reword, did the message pass thru an exchange server.
The reason that I ask is that older versions of Exchange (e.g. Exchange 5.5)
could do some interesting things with HTML messages when working with just
the POP3/IMAP/SMTP protocols. The reason for this is that Exchange 5.5
didn't have a clear understanding of MHTML and would generally not tag the
attachments with a content id when encoding a message for transport.

Is it possible for this happen under other servers... sure. Which, I don't
know. In any event, there really isn't enough information to state whether
it is an Outlook problem or there is something in the message that is
causing Outlook to show the item as plain text/rich text vs. html.

No we do not use an Exchange Server but I am not sure if our Email Service
Provider does or not. I will check but meantime, if they do , then this is
probably something he will have to put up with. I'm still not sure why it
would only do it on his computer. I have checked the settings and they are
the same as everyone elses.

Thanks again for responding and I will keep trying.
