How do i stop receiving duplicate emails?

Outlook keeps downloading emails that i have already received evry time it
performs the automatic send/receive function. I have to save emails on my
server, but outlook randomly selects 30 to 80 different emails that remain on
my server and downloads them over and over. I have to delete them from
Outlook every time i send/receive. This goes on all day long every day. The
only way i know to stop this from happening is to delete the emails from my
server and i really can't until they are backed up once a month. Is there
another way?

I have Outlook 2003. I just purchased a week ago. I don't know if i have
the recent updates. I was using Outlook 2000 prior to this and it would
happen a couple of times a day. With Outlook 2003 it happens every single
time i send/receive which is set at 10 minute intervals.

Jeff,
I followed your instructions to create the log file from the link you
attached but i don't see the log file. The only thing i have is a file
called "first run" in a folder called Outlook Logging. According to the
instructions, this folder gets created in Windows 2000. I have Windows XP.
Do you want the file? Should i restart my COMPUTER for the OPMLOG.LOG to be
created? How do i attach the file here?

The log file is probably a hidden file, so you'll need to do a search for it
that includes hidden files. Apparently you can't attach things when posting
through the web interface to these groups - I've never tried using it, so I
don't know. Just paste the logfile into a post.

Found it! But, I can't paste the actual file in a post. I can copy its
contents into a post (I'm assuming that that's what you meant anyway), but
does it contain information that i may not want the general public to see?
Is it safe?

Outlook 2003 is pretty good about keeping personal information out of the
logs. You can glance through the log yourself if you want and replace
anything that you don't want revealed with '*'s or something - there
shouldn't be much.

than this. I didn't know how much to send and didn't want to bombard you

I followed your instructions to create the log file from the link you
attached but i don't see the log file. The only thing i have is a
file called "first run" in a folder called Outlook Logging. According to
the instructions, this folder gets created in Windows 2000. I have

I have Outlook 2003. I just purchased a week ago. I don't know
if i have
the recent updates. I was using Outlook 2000 prior to this and
it would
happen a couple of times a day. With Outlook 2003 it happens
every single

Outlook keeps downloading emails that i have already received
evry time it performs the automatic send/receive function. I have to save
emails on my server, but outlook randomly selects 30 to 80 different emails
that remain on my server and downloads them over and over. I have to
deletethem fromOutlook every time i send/receive. This goes on all day long
every day.
The only way i know to stop this from happening is to delete the emails from
my server and i really can't until they are backed up once a month.
Is there another way?
