How do I stop recurring PDFmaker error message in WORD?

Frustrated user

I am using XP as my operating system and Office 2003, I am also using a full
blown version of Acrobat v 5.0. I understand that Adobe does not support 5.0
with Office 2003. All I want is to get rid of the error message asking me if
I want "more information", "continue anyway", or "disable add-in for this
session". I have tried the suggested work around and I have downloaded 2
newer versions of Adobe Acrobat, but I always have to disable the add-in or I
am unable to open a .pdf file from the internet.

Remove the PDFMaker.dot or PDFMakerA.dot add-in from Word's Startup folder
or the Office Startup folder.

When you remove it from the Startup folders, it will not be loaded at
Startup. It will still be listed (but not checked) in Tools | Templates and
Add-ins, but an attempt to load it for a specific session would fail unless
you direct Word to the new template location.

I would add that I had to remove WWMAIN.DOT as well to get rid of all PDF
error messages.
