How do I stop "this file is corrupted" messages?

All of a sudden, I keep getting "this file is corrupted" messgages when I try
to open docs. It has just happened ion the last 7 days (changed jobs.) Is
it because I use Vista and many of my coworkers do not?

What Office program are you talking about? What version of Office?

What is the source of the documents you're trying to open? Are these files
that you created and saved? Are these Word documents? Are they .doc, docx,
or something else?

Is "this file is corrupted" the exact message you see? What happens if you
choose the Open and Repair option?
