My MIL has a slowwww computer running XP - I think it was purchased at
Walmart for $400.00 in 2001....
Anyway, she has a window that appears whenever the computer boots up and it
slows everything down. The window is a window installer and appears to be
trying to install a program. It never installs anything and the window pops
up, and off, and on and off. I tried to go into add remove programs to delete
some programs she does not use, however, if I do an "unistall" the computer
tells me another program is currently trying to install.
How do I stop this install....or find it to stop it. My best guess was this
whole thing started to happen shortly after she was hooked up for broadband
and that installer must have done something.
