How do I store/scan a handwritten signature into a Word document?

My boss wants me to create a form letter that has his signature at the bottom
of the page so he doesn't have to sign them all. Does anyone have any ideas?

Scan the signature, save it in a suitable format eg TIF, insert the
signature image (insert > picture > from file) in the document.
