Hi Mary, (posted to excel.misc)
I thought maybe you were used to groups with mandatory registration and
approval for participation. Since you were talking about microsoft newsgroups that
is not the case.
It's been a long time since I had AOL and I know the interface has to be better
than when I used it. Folders separate from your email sound correct just as long
as they allow you to see the threads and subthreads as you would see in Google
Groups if you show all messages.
You might click on the following and see what happens, this one has some
traffic but not 1,000 message every day. So it should be quick to see what
you get and what program you are using.

or to the newsgroup you posted to

Hi, David!
Thanks for your reply! I guess what I meant by subscribe is that I used to
use Netscape at work, and I could set it up so that I could "subscribe" to the
different Microsoft lists, and they would show up in a folder in my e mail. Can
I do the same thing, using AOL and yahoo email? Or do I have to go to the
Microsoft webpage to view the messages?
