How do I switch between columns on a page?

Should be a simple answer for switching between 2 columns on a page when
laying it out. Maybe a function key?

If you used "Format | Columns" to set up two columns on a page, then you have
to have text in the second column before you can switch to it. Once there is
text in the second column, you can just click in the column to switch to it.

If you need to type something in the first column, then type something next
to that in the second column, you should probably be using a two-column table
instead of newspaper columns.
