How do I sync a public calendar with my personal one

Could anyone tell me how to sync a public calendar with my personal
calendar?
Problem: 4 People would like to know the business-appointments of each
other but not the private ones.
I was thinking a public calendar would be great - if it syncs with the
private calendars for each person can edit, create and delete
appointments offline. Next time online a sync qould update the public
calendar and consequently other peoples private calendars.
