Sync software is usually provided with the actual phone, as to which
software, it depends on the phone model

Call again and ask for product names or even a suggestion.

Alltel does not provide sync software.

Their representative indicated I could download it from Microsoft since I
have Microsoft Office.

Is that possible or not.

I have a Samsung Delve phone with a USB cable. The Alltel woman I spoke with
said it (the USB cable/telephone) could be used to sync the phone with Office
products, but that I would have get the software for this from Microsoft. So
I'm trying to find the sync software that Alltel indicated was available from
Microsoft.

The sync software wouldn't be from Microsoft.

If this model supports Microsoft Mobile Office you could buy that
through Samsung.

Google "mobile office sync" to get several likely prospects, including one or
two from Alltel.

Those look like they synch your email. It's not clear that they synch other
information.
