How do I turn of the automatic capitalization feature?

Hello:

I have Word 2007 but I think it's set to Word 2003 (it still doesn't look
anything like Word 2003). I need to turn off this automatic capitalization
feature. When I abbreviate words like criminal (crim.), Word is
automatically capitalizing the next Word. Sometimes I think it would be
better to do without autocorrect. At least that way the uninfomed have
control over their document.

Click the Office Button (round button on the left) click Word Options, and
in the Proofing section, click the button for AutoCorrect options.
Alternatively, press Alt+T+A.
