How do I turn off auto capitalization?

When I start typing text in a shape, the first word is automatically
capitalized.

How do I turn this feature off in Visio 2003?

Hello Dave,

Please try this: Select Tools > AutoCorrect Options... > remove the tick
mark for Capitalize first letter of sentences under AutoCorrect tab > click
OK. Then it is possible to stop auto-capitalization.
