How do I TURN OFF off the recurring appointment factory default?

H

Most of my events, appointments, etc are one time events and ARE NOT
recurring.
The factory default for Outlook seems to be to make ALL EVENTS recurring.
I can find no defaut menu option to turn this off. In other words, I need to
make one time events the norm (default) and recurring events the exception.
Thanks in advance for you help.

Not an Outlook problem. Instead, look in Add or Remove Programs and see if
you have an app installed called "Outlookaddinsetup". If so, uninstall it.

Is this on a Dell Machine? If yes, go to Control Panel->Add/Remove programs and look for a Dell addin setup program and remove it.
