How do I turn off Power Point Viewer in Office 2007

In using Power Point, I save my files and come back to them later. When I try
to reopen my power point presentation, it automoatically opens it up in Power
Point Viewer. I do not like this. I want my presentations to open up in Power
Point so that I can immediately start editing them, which I cannot do in
Power Point Viewer. How do I "turn off" power point viewer?

PS: I realize I can open the presentation by opening up Power Point afresh
and then opening the document within Power Point - but this is annoying. I
just want to open and edit my existing files....so help.....thanks....
