How do I uncompress pictures?

My mom sent me a bunch of pictures, but she put them in .zip form so that
they would send easier. Now I want them in .jpg form. How do I change them?

And if not (IIRC, Windows XP introduced built-in support for zip files, so
if OP is using an older version, double clicking on zip files will produce
error messages rather than prompts), the OP would need to acquire an unzip
program. Free and very handly is 7-zip - http://www.7-zip.org/ .
