How do I uninstall office from 1 computer and reinstall it on ano.

How do I uninstall office from 1 computer and reinstall it on another?

Do I need to contact Microsoft to do this.

Also How do I determine which set of software is installed on what computer?

I recently took on a job as a network administrator. None of the software
packages are marked or labeled as to which system they have been installed on.

What a mess!

Thank you for you help.

How do I uninstall office from 1 computer and reinstall it on another?

On First Computer:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
Scroll to the entry that says "Microsoft Office"
Click Remove.

On Second Computer:
Insert the CD-ROM for Microsoft Office
Follow the prompts
Do I need to contact Microsoft to do this.
Only if you've used the Activation key too many times.
Also How do I determine which set of software is installed on what
computer?

Two ways:
1. Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
2. Look in C:\Program Files
I recently took on a job as a network administrator.

I HOPE that I'm misunderstanding this statement. Any network admin that
doesn't know how to install / uninstall software should be shot.

OK you are misunderstanding the question. Let me break it down a little bit
more. I have 1 Office XP Standard and about 50 Office XP Professional
software sets and end user licenses. The network administrator before me did
not document anything. I have no clue what software package goes with which
computer (I. E. Product Keys). How do I sort them out?

Thanks

Wow, that really is a big murky mess, and the best people to ask are the
systems gods in one of the microsoft.public.windowsxp groups. This problem
is generally too hard for us database geeks.
