How do I unmark text so that it can be spell checked in MS Word?

Text marked do not spell check

Often when trying to do a spell check on a document, I receive a message that
says "Text marked with 'Do not spell check' " was not checked. I have not
marked the text so and would like it spell-checked. How do I get rid of the
incorrect marking?

Open a document where this problem occurs, press Ctrl+A to select
all of the text, click on Tools | Language | Set Language |
<choose your language> | uncheck the "Detect language
automatically" and "Do not check spelling or grammar" boxes |
Default | OK. Then press F7 to rerun spelling and grammar
checks, and save the document.
