I have reloaded Outlook 2003 to my Laptop and it will not update or
synchronise the local inbox or other folders to my exchange2000 server. It
does it on some installations but not others.

Good Morning Ben
Thanks for the reply. What happens is when I reinstalled Outlook onto my
laptop and reconnected with the exchangserver it didn't update any of the old
emails but only came up with the Outlook welcome email in the inbox It did
update the subfolders of the inbox however. I have found that when there are
more than 1 account from the same user on different work stations it will
also delete the current list in the inbox. This is what happened. During the
time my laptop was unusable I set up a mail account for myself onother PC to
access my mail. When I reconnected with the server from the laptop the the
inbox was empty except for the welcome mesage and it also removed all of the
old emails from the inbox of the other PC. Obviously only 1 user account is
possible at 1 time. Can you help.
Thanks Larry Yates

Actually I'm betting what happened is that you had the default delivery
location on the other PC to be a .PST file on the local hard drive so it
moved all of your mail there. You need to go back to that other PC and
reset the default delivery location (Tools | E-mail Accounts | View or
Change E-mail accounts; depending upon what version of Outlook) to be your
Exchange mailbox. Then you'll be able to see the items from either
machine.

Make sure your laptop also has the default delivery location as the
mailbox and not Personal Folders Files. (PST)
