How do I use initials in Gantt chart?

I want to show Resource initials rather than names on my Gantt chart (to save
room). How do I do this.
I'm a brand new user!

Hi,

Format
Bar Styles
Find the lines "Task" and (if there) "Critical"
Each time below click Text
in Right replace Resource Names by Resource Initials

Jan, please save me. I posted "custom report" last night, and you seem to be
the most knowledgeable one on here (in addition to the fact that you were the
one bright enough to figure out my macro issue the first time). Could you
please have a look there and see if you know anything.
