how do i use slides as the wallpaper on my desktop?

I am using powerpoint 2000 and have received a calendar with pictures I would
like to use as the background or wallpaper on my desktop. I would like
information on how to do this.

I assume that you know how to change your wallpaper to an image of your choice,
so just save a slide as a PNG (my preference) or a JPG in PowerPoint.
