How do I verify licenses and match the license to the proper CD?

I've been given the IT responsibilities and have 25 users in my office. I
need to take the box of CD's and match them to the proper PC. How do I verify
that I am untilizing all of my licenses and which CD goes wit which PC?
Thanks,

D

DatabaseBen

by far i would recommend
the belarc freeware because
it will list all the keys installed.

however, because it is free
i beleive it is spyware as well.

i suppose for doing a thorough
job of revealing the keys, there
is some useful informatin that
somehow pays back belarc.

but it may not be of no great consequence
since it only appears to be product keys.

so i would use it once, print out
a hard copy of the report, then unistall
it.

try it out on one pc and see if this
appears to do the job....

That's utter nonsense. Belarc Advisor is in no sense spyware. Just
because something is free doesn't mean that it has some nefarious purpose.
Commercial software, on the other hand, often has spyware-like functions.
Some Microsoft products and most Adobe products would be examples of this.

actually, i made my discovery know on a previous posting.
and publishing them embedded inside a thread is not
benefitial to anyone.

I appreciate your suggestion. However, i will
continue providing my experience/discovery/opinion/suggestion
whenever i feel they would be helpful and or needed....

appreciatively,....

So, in other words, you can't back up your claims.
It's all BS, anyway.

i'll make a deal with your guys but it will cost you.

i'll will be happy to provide you with the facts to satisfy

provide me with an email address for a cc of my

sorry, if there is nothing to trade
then there is no deal.

however, i am somewhat perplexed because
if i was able to discover the information, why
can't an MVP not be able to conduct their own
research.......

it is my hope you have the tenacity to
figure out your question as i had done
to figure this question that i once had....

as far as i am concerned, i provided a
response to the o.p. and i am satisfied
that i can unflag this thread on my pc....

i would wish you luck but i have a strong feeling
you wont need any

You made your pronouncements in a public Microsoft newsgroup.

If you can't back them up publicly, you have no credibility.

ok.....
fine....
since i see there is an earnest review i will share some information.
however, keep in mind there is more to do this than what you
see on this plate, like the tip of an iceberg.....

----------
Look for the links containing current profiles and follow them. The search
results provide pages of similar
links....

http://www.avantfind.com/search.asp..._i-LCN4G7NIMT04AT7L_s-27&Keywords=belarc&uil=

-----------

To add with the above, then there are those other factors that I will keep,
unless i am encouraged to provide them...

creditability...?

i like the concept, but unfortunately my status
is to provide helpful suggestions and nothing else
to prove nor do i take the position to disprove or
discredit anyone else.

there is a problem here, but i don't think it is
a matter of crediability but rather the problem
may be ego and arrogance...

As for lack of knowledge or ignorance, i don't
think it can be used as an excuse because the world of
information is at your finger tips and keyboard...

i'm sure we can be professional and objective at the
same time....

no, patrick...

the terms of the deal involved a bit more.

but at least you went back and did some
research....

unfortunately, i was not the issue that
required to be researched..

Funny how DatabaseBen wants to make a deal for something that can be found
with Google Groups in 20 seconds:

Yes, the problem may be your ego and arrogance.

One who makes a public announcement of issues, and refuses to back it up
publicly, has a credibility problem.

credibility - the quality of being believable or trustworthy.

If you refuse to back up your claims with the facts when asked, how can you
be believed, or have your comment considered trustworth?
