How do I view a PDF using Genuine MS Software?

I downloaded Acrobat Reader last night and found that I got Google Spyware
toolbar too. I had to restore my system.

Do you suggest that I try to go back for the Reader and force it not to
install the spyware? Or is Microsoft working on a Genuine MS Solution to
protect its MS users from cluttering their toolbar.

thanks,

Nothing to do with FORCING. The Install routine for the latest Acrobat
reader gives you the option NOT to install it. Or did you just blindly
click on "OK" each time without actually LOOKING at what you were doing?

I would suggest you learn to read the dialog boxes when you are installing
software. You must have just clicked OK wherever it appeared without reading
what you were agreeing to. This includes reading (or at least scanning) the
license that accompnies software.

Now that the shock of the toolbar peice has passed. Can anyone answer the
real question at hand?

How do you view a PDF without Acrobat? Prefer a MS Product.

Disclaimer: I have not tried Foxit.

I have seen several recommendations in these NG for Foxit Reader. It
is free.

There are no Microsoft .pdf readers. I've heard there are other
readers available but why don't you want to use Adobe's Reader?

I have been using Foxit and I recommend it very highly over Adobe. It does everything as Adobe without the bloat. Also much faster

I don't believe you can. Here's a couple of readers you might look at:

I use this one, it's only 802 Kbytes:

This is even smaller, only 655Kbytes:
http://www.pdf2exe.com/reader.html

Both work well w/o requiring the huge amount of space that Adobe reader
needs.
