How do I view disappeared graphics in Word?

I have been working with graphics, mainly jpgs, for years and this has never
happened before. Suddenly, I cannot view any graphics in my Word documents. I
open the doc and all the writing is there but no pictures. However, the size
of the documents indicates the graphics are still there. anyone got any ideas?

Hi Barb,

Try unchecking 'picture placeholders' under Tools|Options|View.

Thanks for that suggestion. It was unchecked but I tried clicking the
'drawing' option under Tools|Options|View as I usually put my images into
text box to manage position. And it worked!
