I would like to know the answer to this as well. Buying new software or add
ins is not what I am looking for.

Contacts in Outlook/BCM are available in other Office applications.

Write your letter in Word. In Word, you insert the Contact info with:

Go to the Mailings tab, Select Recipients, Select from Outlook
Contacts. The BCM folders should show up in the dialog box.

Yes, this works but it is geared for doing mass mailings. A menu is brought
up allowing you to establish selection and sort criteria for the contracts
you wish to merge. What is missing in BCM is the ability to launch a word
letter template from the contact directly, such as it is in standard Outlook.

I still find it faster to type in all the contact information that to set up
the custom merge.

BCM folks must fix this.

What would you suggest if the BCM folders do not show up, and Word in fact
just disappears when you hit Outlook Contacts ?

Using Office Pro 07 w/ Outlook BCM 07. Just set it up and it has been a
drag to get thing working correctly...

Happy New Year! I (finally) got a new computer with Outlook 2007. I am
reading these posts from years ago hoping by now that the "New Letter to
Contact" icon has somehow reappeared in the latest versions of Outlook 2007.
Ive been searching but no luck finding it.
