Portfolio:
1. A hinged cover or flexible case for carrying loose papers, pictures, or
pamphlets.
2. The use of such a case to carry papers related to...
(a) the office and functions of a minister of state or member of a
cabinet
(b) an educator's career
(c) a Student's educational progress
(d) an Artist's work
(e) a Model's photographic poses and work experience
(f) an Actor's previous roles
(g) a Designer's work
3. Securities held by an investor
Obviously, an outline of #1 (simply trace the circumference of the object
onto a sheet of paper of sufficient dimensions) is dramatically different
for an outline of #3. Just as obviously, an outline of written material is
wholly dependent upon the written material. While my work portfolio includes
a section detailing over-seas assignments which I would include in an
outline, it would be silly for a person who lacks over-seas experience to
mention such experience in an outline.
