How do I

We have no control of the scrollbars on the browser but it is interesting to
note I have built an Intranet site to allow lefties or righties to select
their preference in the page. Some people do not even have a right or left
hand for example so a dynamic user interface is really comfortable to use.

So when implemented in the page two methodologies are used: framesets or CSS
with JavaScript. Each has its pros and cons depending on the circumstances.

If you use Internet Explorer you can see how I used Framesets on an Intranet
site I built some years ago noting the Contact Management portfolio item was
developed using IE4. Use the URL in my signature to load my homepage and
select the "Industrial Towel & Uniform" item which is the second item from
the top of the page. The selectors to change the page are in the menubar at
the top of the page.

Sure you do - to some extent. For example, a page with this body tag -

<body dir="rtl" style="height:160%;background-color:gray">

will surprise you.

Yes i was surprised. On left in IE. But view it w/other other browsers.
In FF, it's still on the right.

You're right Murray and I have egg on my face because I've actually used the
rtl attribute but not enough to have remembered that it could be used to
mirror the vertical scrollbar.

Not here. Might be added in later versions though. I haven't upgraded
in a while. Still runs 1.03.

It works exactly as described in 1.0.6 on both PC and Mac. You need to
upgrade for many reasons.... 8)

OK upgraded to 1.07. Scrollbar is still on the right with the CSS you
posted.
