how do you report spam????
Your post shows an e-mail address of "msn.com"... if that is accurate, and
not a fake address to discourage spam from harvesters of addresses.... then
you should log on to "msn.com" to determine their practices for handling
e-mail spam.
If, as most who are concerned with such issues, you have a firewall program
and antivirus installed, see the instructions in their Help for both e-mail
and newsgroup spam.
For newsgroup spam, politely complain to both the e-mail and the news server
of the spammer... you will need, in all cases, to send full message headers.
How you get full message headers will depend on the news reader you use, but
in all newsreaders I've examined, Help or on-screen instructions are clear.
Obtain the headers, then forward (not back to the newsgroup, but by e-mail).
Paste the headers in to the message, and determine from the headers what
e-mail and news server the spammer used (but experienced spammers are good
at concealing those).
Use Google's advanced search and you can find plenty more detail.
Good luck. Oh, by the way, this is not a "general" newsgroup; it is not
e-mail; it is a newsgroup devoted to discussion of, and questions and
answers about, Microsoft Access database software. There would be better
sources of the kind of information you desire in the Google search and in
USENET newsgroups the archives of which you can find at
http://groups.google.com.
