How do you animate Word Art

How do you animate the word art to come in as an effect in power point, I
know it's possible, I just for whatever reason can't get the program to do
it. Thank you for your help.

Right click the Wordart object and select "Custom Animation". Select the
desired effect.

Word art can be animate just like any other picture. However it is not
text, so can not be animated like text (by letter, word, or line), but you
can fake text-like animations by making each letter a separate word-art
picture.
