How do you change a WBS number from 1 to 2 etc.

Good Morning!

How do you change a WBS number and its' sub numbers?

What I have is:
1
1.1
1.1.1
1.1.2

What I want is:
2
2.1
2.1.1
2.1.2

Project > Define WBS Code.

Set the first layer to Character, and manually type the "2" in the field.
You'll need to manually modify the code for each of the subsequent Tier
I activities.

Hi Lee,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

The simplest way is to Insert a task above your first one - say create a project start milestone. This will then become number 1 and your next task (summary) will become 2, etc
