I need to know how to clear the dcument names that appear beneath the "recent
documents" column in the Office button(Alt + F). I am using Word in Office

Click Office > Word Options. Click the ADVANCED option along the left
and scroll down to the DISPLAY section. Change the SHOW THIS NUMBER OF
RECENT DOCUMENTS to zero. Close Word. Reopen and all will be gone. You
can then go back and reset it to whatever number you want and it'll be
restarted with a blank slate.

Hi Millington,

In Word use Office button=>Word Options and in the Advanced section scroll down to the 'Display' subcategory and set
"Show this number of Recent Documents"
to zero to clear the Recently Used files list.

Deja Vu all over again?

Okay, Bucky...so what's with reiterating several of my answers with
the same info several weeks later??? Trying to knock Suzanne off as
the top MVP poster?<vbeg>

(Missed you SO MUCH at the summit! I was hoping you'd be my date for
the Flight Museum since Greg wasn't there. Both Ramlet and I miss you
very much!! Wasn't the same without you, Ross, Greg and Jeff Struyk.)

If you want to keep some of the names first open these to move them to the top of the list, then change SHOW THIS NUMBER OF RECENT DOCUMENTS to the number of names you want to save.
