How do you color code events on an outlook 2000 calendar?

My training department still runs off of outlook2000. The training calendar
is available via exchange; however, it is not very user friendly. It would be
helpful if I could color code the events. Currently, it is all black and
white. Seems to blend all together, especially when courses are for several
days and overlap with others.

Open an event and click the "Label" drop-down to choose the color you like.

Nope. Calendar color labels were added in Outlook 2002. They don't exist in Outlook 2000.

If you upgrade to at least Outlook 2002 you'll have that option.

Oops. I wasn't near an Outlook 2000 at the time. I should have kept
silent.
