How do you enter text into the dropdown of a combo box?

A combo box isn't supposed to be "enterable". It's supposed to allow you to
choose from a list.
It might help to know what program you're using, and it would probably suit
you better to ask in the specific newsgroup for that application instead of
here in "Office".
