I have a large data set the needs about 800-900 columns in a worksheet. I
limit for columns in excel is a about 200-300. i dont need any more rows
added, just columns.

Not possible in one worksheet.
Use a second worksheet to continue.
Next version of Excel (due Fall this year) will have many more columns.

Can you transpose your data set, or do you already have more than 256 rows
of data as well.
