How do you fix "ost in use" errors?

This often cause by another application trying to access outlook resources,
pay attentions to applications like blackberry desktop manager, microsoft
communicator, close any application that interacts with email...

If you have "Use Cached Exchange Mode" enabled, try disabling it to see if
you still get the error.

We do use it. I tried that early on but the user still got .ost in use.

I have also tried getting her to reduce her mailbox size and rebuilding her
profile. Still no fix.

This morning I tried increasing her virtual ram.
