how do you flag an e mail so you can follow up- reappear ?

I want to flag an e mail that requieres an answer; how do you have it go to
a folder so you can look at all sent that week/month that needs follow up?
I have xp -03

open the email, click the follow up flag then a little window pops up where
you can set a due day etc.
