How do you get the formula bar to display in Excel 2007

In prior Excel programs you could display the current contents of a cell in a
message type bar. How can this be turned on in 2007 if it is available.
Help has been less than helpful in this matter.

Do you mean display the formula bar? If so, you could use the Excel 2003
menu KEYSTROKES: [Alt]+V F . The ribbon command is View tab, Show/Hide
group, check the Formula Bar checkbox.
