How do you get the Resource Sheet to work on master .MPP

How do you get the Resource Sheet to work on rolled up project plans?

I usually work on 10-15 seperate project plans at the same time.

All of these individual .MPP files use the exact same Resource Sheet of 20
resources. Same titles, same order.

So when I insert, say 10 of these project plans into one master .MPP rollup
the Resources of each individual .MPP get copied and added to a long list. A
list that is 200 resources long instead of the 20 it is supposed to be.

Help if you can.

Hi,

To see consolidated Resources you need to have a separate Resource Pool as
well.

WARNING: Links between a master project and sub-projects and
links between sub-projects and Resource Pool project can cause file
corruption. Anytime anyone moves,
renames or over-writes any project you roll the file corruption dice.

If all you want to do is report on Resource Usage strongly consider creating
a weekly snapshot of your projects by creating a new master with Project,
Insert (but Link option OFF).

This copies all data and consolidates resource info. Its a lot of inserting
so record a macro of you doing it once then run the macro each week to
create a new consolidation. This avoids all corruption problems and enables
reporting. You would also need some extra code to copy project name from
the Project Summary Task down to all assignments.
