I have been told that you can graph on word? If you can, how?

Word is a word processor, not a math package. You can imbed a graph
produced elsewhere but not "graph on word". Perhaps ask the one who told
you that to show you what they meant.

For Word 2003 (earlier versions can too).. go to Insert - Picture, and look
for the chart option.. you will have a choice of styles, and a box not
unlike Excel will appear for input of number values..
