How do you manually remove Microsoft Word 97?

I would like to completely eridicate Microsoft Word 97 from my computer, but
I cannot do so because I do not have the original install disk (I got the
computer used and it was pre-installed). I have managed to finally
uninstall Office 97 Pro by borrowing a friend's disk for uninstalling only.
However, I was not aware that Word 97 came on it's own disk as a standalone
product? I cannot buy a copy just for uninstalling. I want to upgrade to my
Office 97 Small Business (this laptop is Win98 with less than 4 gig hd).

Hi Suzanne,

Thank You for your advice, i have come across some users who had problem
accessing the Microsoft KB articles. I know most of the organizations
doesn't have access to use the Micorosoft KB articles due to internet
security reasons. I have personnally been in the situation. where i was not
able to access the KB article because i didn't have internet privilage to
access the KB article.

If a user has sufficient access to the Internet to post in these discussion
forums (especially those who are posting through the Microsoft Communities,
which are hosted on the Microsoft site), then I think it unlikely they would
not be able to access the KB.
