how do you put a back slash through a word

Don't think you can do a backslash, unless maybe you create an image of
backslashes with transparency and put it over the word. You can draw a line
though; same thing put it over the word.

You draw a line, lay it over the work you want crossed out and I would
suggest grouping the text box and line in case you move that box. If you
change the size of the box, you'll have to manually move the line.

amended after reading JoAnn's reply...skip the image thing I mentioned just
create a second textbox with backslashes and lay it over your word...set
text wrapping to: none.
