How do you put an Outline around any font in PPT?

I would like to be able to outline a font so that it looks like a full shadow
around the font. It can be done in MS Photodraw and tnen cut and paste. I
would like to be able to do so simply in Power Point. It is very time
consuming to do it in another application and cut and paste.

Thanks in advance.

Currently, you will need to rely on a photo editing tool
to create the "soft" drop shadows that we all like. A
trick I use with the existing Shadow capability in
PowerPoint is to you make the drop shadow only a few
shades darker than the background (vs the typical black)
and then give it a transparency setting. This way the
shadow looks a bit more natural.
