How do you save Outlook 2002 toolbar custom settings?

S

SirGeoffrey

Whenever I customize the standard toolbar in new, received, forwarded, or
replied messages, the settings don't always stay in effect. I add seperators
between certain icons but later when I open a new message, the seperators are
gone. The icons seem to stay in the same place, but the custom seperators are
gone. I go through the whole process of adding the seperators back again and
sometimes they stay for a few messages. But then they disappear again. The
custom settings for the main page seem to stay in effect. What seems to be
the problem? I'm getting tired of adding the seperators back every few
messages.

Is this with Word or Outlook as the e-mail editor?

Outlook. But there's not a problem with composing or sending messages. Only
with the Outlook toolbar custom settings (especially the seperators) when I
receive a new message. The settings are lost for that message and all
messages - in all folders. But once I apply the new settings to the new
message, then all messages change in all folders. But as soon as I receive
another new message, the settings are lost again. It's like the toolbar
settings are reset with every new message. I never had this much trouble with
Outlook Express. Any help would be appreciated.
